Russia is gearing up to begin supplying the global market with it’s Diesel signaling the lifting of sanctions against the Kremlin.
Details have emerged that US President Donald Trump is working with Vladimir Putin to release Russian diesel supplies into global markets.
The White House is seeking ways to tame soaring fuel prices ahead of the US midterm election.
Trump announced Friday a series of cargoes beginning this month totaling about 13.5 million barrels, initially.
The Kremlin published a statement citing Putin who said Russia was ready “to supply oil and petroleum products to the US and global markets.” The US Treasury also issued a waiver.
Hours after the deal between Washington and the Kremlin, Russia struck residential buildings in Ukraine.
Kremlin forces dropped five guided aerial bombs onto residences in Zaporizhzhia in the country’s southeast, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Australia said that it doesn’t need to buy fuel from Russia and said that purchases from there will remain barred so that the country doesn’t benefit from the invasion of Ukraine.
“We don’t need or want Russian fuel in Australia,” Chris Bowen, Australia’s minister for climate change and energy, said Saturday at a press conference in western Sydney.
“We do not want Vladimir Putin to benefit from this war in the Middle East. What the United States does is a matter for them, but we won’t be changing our approach.”
