Airtel Rwanda Managing Director Sujay Chakrabarti has recognised the company’s customer support teams for their dedication and commitment to improving the customer experience as Airtel marks Customer Service Week 2026.
Chakrabarti celebrated Airtel’s “Customer Support Champions” for consistently going the “extra mile” to serve customers and deliver what he described as the exceptional service customers deserve.
The recognition comes as Airtel continues to invest in technology and digital services in Rwanda. Its local portfolio includes the MyAirtel app, Airtel Money, 4G connectivity, home broadband, 4G Wi-Fi routers and digital enterprise solutions.
The MyAirtel platform allows customers to manage services and access customer care digitally, reducing reliance on physical service points. Airtel has also been expanding digital financial services through Airtel Money, including tools for businesses such as PayBill collections, bulk payments and API-based integrations.
Airtel has also been pushing smartphone adoption and digital inclusion in Rwanda through handset financing and connectivity initiatives aimed at bringing more people into the digital economy.
The company’s wider strategy is increasingly centred on digitising customer interactions, using technology to improve service delivery and simplifying how customers access mobile, broadband and financial services.
The Customer Service Week recognition therefore comes against a broader push by Airtel Rwanda to combine human customer support with digital tools as competition in Rwanda’s telecommunications and mobile money markets intensifies.
