Zambia has sent 18 military officers on an exchange program in Burundi to acquaint with operations of the host’s army.
The delegation of 18 officers are from Zambia’s Higher Command and Staff College.
Their stay in Burundi from September 27 to October 2, 2026, is part of the military colleges’ experience exchange program.
The program includes a courtesy visit to the High Command of the FDNB, presentations on various topics, and visits to the country’s tourist sites.
According to Burundi’s defence officials, “this visit also aims to strengthen the capacities of the learners at this school in terms of interoperability and professional military leadership, while consolidating strategic partnerships and cooperation between the military training institutions of Burundi and Zambia.
