Rwanda will undertake a high-level Business Mission to Brazil from 17–21 August 2026, bringing together businesses, investors, and public institutions in a strategic effort to strengthen trade, attract investment, and deepen commercial partnerships between the two countries.

The five-day mission will feature a series of Business-to-Business (B2B) and Government-to-Government (G2G) engagements in Brasília, São Paulo, and Santa Catarina, creating a platform for companies and institutions to identify new opportunities for collaboration across key economic sectors.

The mission is expected to focus on sectors with strong potential for mutual growth, including advanced agriculture, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, education, information and communication technology (ICT), and innovation.

By bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors, the initiative aims to facilitate direct business connections, encourage knowledge exchange, and promote investment opportunities that support sustainable economic development in both Rwanda and Brazil.

Participants will engage in networking sessions, business matchmaking meetings, investment discussions, and site visits to leading Brazilian enterprises and institutions.

These engagements are expected to provide Rwandan businesses with valuable insights into Brazil’s industrial capabilities while showcasing Rwanda as an attractive destination for investment and a strategic gateway to regional and continental markets.

The mission also reflects Rwanda’s continued efforts to diversify its international trade partnerships and strengthen economic diplomacy through targeted engagements with emerging global markets.

Brazil, one of Latin America’s largest economies, offers significant opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and innovation—areas that align with Rwanda’s national development priorities.

Officials expect the mission to pave the way for new commercial agreements, investment partnerships, technology transfer, and increased collaboration between businesses and institutions from both countries.

The Rwanda-Brazil Business Mission is anticipated to mark an important milestone in advancing bilateral economic relations, fostering private sector cooperation, and unlocking new opportunities for trade and investment that benefit both nations.
