The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has suspended the operations of Baron Sports Gaming Ltd, trading as Forzza, with immediate effect after finding that the company had repeatedly offered casino-style games beyond the scope of its approved licence.

In a public notice issued on July 30, 2026, RDB, which serves as the national regulator for lottery and gambling activities, announced that the suspension takes effect immediately and applies to all of the company’s outlets, agents, digital platforms and all other gambling-related activities across Rwanda.

The regulator directed Baron Sports Gaming Ltd to cease all operations immediately and remove all advertising and promotional materials associated with its business.

According to RDB, the enforcement action followed investigations which established that the company had repeatedly operated outside the terms of its approved licence by offering casino-style games not authorised under the licence granted to it.

The regulator said the activities contravened Rwanda’s laws governing gaming operations.

RDB has also cautioned the public against participating in any games or activities offered by Forzza until further notice.

It warned that any continued operations by the company during the suspension period would be considered unlawful and could attract additional enforcement measures.

The regulator further reminded all licensed lottery and gambling operators that they must operate strictly within the scope and conditions of their respective licences.

It noted that any unlicensed or unauthorised activities could result in regulatory sanctions, including suspension or revocation of operating licences.

RDB reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of Rwanda’s gambling sector by ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while protecting consumers and the wider public.

The notice, issued by the Rwanda Development Board on July 30, 2026, encourages members of the public to report any concerns or seek further information through the National Lottery and Gaming Commission via NLGC@rdb.rw.
