Young Rwandan entrepreneurs, innovators, and creatives will be celebrated this evening as the European Union and its Global Gateway partners officially launch the “Hamwe Natwe for Youth & Jobs” photography exhibition at 5:00 PM at Imbuga City Walk in the heart of the capital.
The exhibition forms the centrepiece of the EU-backed Hamwe Natwe (“Together with Us”) campaign, which spotlights the talent, resilience, and achievements of Rwandan youth driving skills development, innovation, and entrepreneurship across the country.
H.E. Belén Calvo Uyarra, Ambassador of the European Union to Rwanda, will officiate the launch. Popular Rwandan musician Bruce Melodie — who produced and performs the campaign’s official jingle — is expected to make a special appearance, adding cultural energy to the evening.
Public attendees are encouraged to bring friends to explore compelling photographic stories of young Rwandans turning bold ideas into opportunities. The campaign tagline “Big dreams. Bold ideas” captures the spirit of the initiative.
EU-Rwanda Partnership in Focus
The Hamwe Natwe campaign is part of the broader EU Global Gateway strategy in Rwanda, which mobilises substantial investments to support the country’s National Strategy for Transformation and Vision 2050.
Priorities include boosting technical and vocational education and training (TVET), creating quality jobs, strengthening value chains, digital innovation through initiatives like Hanga Hubs, and empowering youth and women in green and inclusive economic growth.
Through this partnership, the EU and Rwanda aim to bridge skills gaps, foster private sector development, and equip young people with the tools needed for sustainable employment in a rapidly transforming economy.
The photography exhibition will remain accessible to the public after the launch, offering an ongoing platform to showcase and inspire the next generation of Rwandan leaders.
For more information on the Hamwe Natwe campaign and related youth opportunities, visitors are invited to engage directly with EU Delegation representatives at the event.
