I&M Bank Rwanda has been named Rwanda’s Best Bank for Customer Lending at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, one of the global banking industry’s most respected awards.

The recognition highlights the bank’s performance in providing accessible, affordable and customer-focused lending solutions for individuals and businesses.

The award comes as I&M Bank Rwanda continues to strengthen its market position. Earlier this year, the bank reported an 18 percent increase in profit and customer deposits exceeding Rwf1 trillion, supported by continued growth in lending and digital banking services.

The bank has also expanded financing for small and medium-sized enterprises through a €25 million facility from Proparco/Afd alongside lending programmes targeting women-led businesses, agribusinesses and students.

Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence are presented annually to financial institutions that demonstrate outstanding performance, innovation and customer impact across global banking markets.
