Andy Burnham of labour party took a pint immediately after winning the much contested election which is expected to shakeup British Politics.
Burnham beat the populist right-wing Reform U.K. party in the Makerfield by-election.
According to political pundits, Burnham’s decisive victory will energize his bid to become UK prime minister.
Labour’s most popular politician pledges a “Makerfield test at the heart of British politics will ensure the places Westminster has neglected will now get fairness.”
He warned that this is Labour Party’s “final chance to change” and “there will be no second chance.”
It should be remembered that Burnham held cabinet positions under Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown.

He says he always knew he would seek to return to Westminster to “complete that unfinished business” so the north of England could fulfil its “potential”.
Addressing his Party members, he said , “There will be no second chance,” he says, adding there is an opportunity now to build a “new politics based on unity and hope”.
Burnham easily defeated a field of candidates from more than a half-dozen parties, winning 24,937 votes — a resounding majority of about 55 percent.

He won a seat in Parliament on Thursday, a pivotal step in his plans to challenge Prime Minister Keir Starmer for leadership of the Labour Party and the country.
