Panic is Growing
The Ebola outbreak is posing massive challenges for medical aid organisations, a senior humanitarian official has said.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Monday that Ebola outbreak was outpacing response efforts,
The WHO Chief said that containing the fast-moving outbreak was complicated by the fact that DRCongo’s Ituri and North Kivu provinces were highly insecure and there were no approved vaccines for Bundibugyo virus.
Tedros revealed that he is going to travel to DRC on Tuesday accompanied by WHO official responsible for addressing health emergencies, Chikwe Ihekweazu.
