Mohammad Saleh Jokar, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s Interior Affairs Committee has told the Americans to accept Iran terms to end the current conflict.
He said that the US had failed to achieve it’s goals for which it started the war against Iran.
“The terms are determined by the country that won on the battlefield, not by the government of a country that failed, missed its goals, and brought only destruction. Therefore, the Americans must accept our terms,” he said in an interview with the Mehr news agency.
Jokar added that Iran’s 10 points are a “red line for any negotiations.”
The lawmaker noted that Iran “never trusted the US,” and his country has no other option but to “become stronger.”
He also called on American troops to leave the region.
In response to Iranian demands, Washington has set Tehran five conditions of its own, which the US administration believes are necessary for continuing the peace process between the two countries, the Fars news agency reported.
According to the agency, the US refuses to pay any compensation for damage caused by the bombings of Iranian territory.
Washington also insists that 400 kg of enriched uranium must be taken from Iran to the US and only one operating nuclear facility must remain in the Islamic Republic.
The United States does not intend to release more than 25% of Iran’s frozen assets and states that the issue of ending the war on all fronts, [including Lebanon], must be resolved through negotiations, the agency said.
