President Paul Kagame has described 2025 as a year of both progress and challenge, thanking Rwandans for their cooperation and urging them to remain focused on the country’s long-term goals.
In his end-of-year message, the President said Rwanda experienced “significant growth and opportunity” over the past year, despite facing real obstacles.
He credited national unity and public trust for helping the country turn challenges into opportunities.
President Kagame emphasized the importance of remembering Rwanda’s past while continuing to build for the future, noting that resilience and resolve remain central to the country’s development path.
Looking ahead to 2026, he expressed confidence in Rwanda’s direction, saying the future the country seeks is achievable if citizens remain positive, disciplined, and committed to progress.
The annual address comes as Rwanda closes the year with a focus on sustaining growth, strengthening institutions, and maintaining social cohesion amid a changing global environment.
