The Rwanda National Police (RNP) has announced that it will conduct a public auction of vehicles that were seized during various police operations.

According to a statement issued by the RNP Spokesperson’s Office, the auction will take place in Gatsata from October 22 to 24, 2025.

Members of the public who wish to inspect the vehicles can do so between October 8 and 21, 2025.

The Police reminded the public that, according to the law, any vehicle held in police custody for more than one month without being claimed is subject to public auction.

The statement advises all individuals whose vehicles were impounded to approach the relevant police departments to clarify the circumstances under which their vehicles were seized before the auction begins.

RNP also urged vehicle owners to settle any fines or penalties related to traffic offenses before collecting their vehicles.

Those who fail to do so risk losing their vehicles once they are auctioned.

Additionally, the Police warned against illegal possession or use of impounded vehicles, emphasizing that such acts constitute a criminal offense punishable by law.

For more information, affected individuals are encouraged to contact the Rwanda National Police or visit its official communication channels.
