The Inspector General of Rwanda National Police (RNP), Commissioner General Felix Namuhoranye, joined senior law enforcement leaders from across Southern Africa in celebrating the Annual Police Day of the Royal Eswatini Police Service and the graduation of new officers at Matsapha Police Academy on August 15.

The ceremony was presided over by His Majesty King Mswati III, the National Commissioner-In-Chief of the Royal Eswatini Police Service.

The event brought together regional police leaders, including Chiefs of Police from Lesotho and Zimbabwe, alongside deputy police chiefs and senior representatives from Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia.

CG Namuhoranye’s participation reflects the growing partnership between Rwanda and Eswatini in areas of policing, training, and professional exchange.

The cooperation between Rwanda National Police and the Royal Eswatini Police Service has been steadily strengthening, with both institutions working together to share expertise and enhance security capacities.

The Matsapha ceremony also marked the formal entry of newly trained officers into the Eswatini police force, a moment celebrated with military parades, cultural displays, and regional solidarity.

Rwanda’s engagement in such regional initiatives underscores its commitment to strengthening police cooperation and promoting collective security across Africa.
