On Friday, Rwanda’s First Lady Mrs Jeannette Kagame joined Unity Club members for their annual retreat hosted at the Parliament.
As the chairperson of Unity Club, the First Lady welcomed 23 new members to the club that has a mission to enhance unity and peace as the roots of a sustainable development in Rwanda.
This club has among its objectives, to bring together former, current cabinet members and their spouses to build a better Rwanda through the power of sharing and interaction. The club also advocates for the socio-economic wellbeing of disadvantaged groups in general with particular focus on orphans.
It also seeks to empower Rwandan women and promote gender equality, fostering collaboration and creating a platform for open dialogue and unity among members.
Among others, this club significantly contributes to the promotion of unity among Rwandans and social development in general, and promotes collaboration with development partners.
