Ingabire Jean Marie Theophille a priest resident in Rwamagana district is among a network of conmen involved in the theft of over Rwf1billion belonging to an Investor.
Rwanda Investigations Bureau (RIB) is currently hunting for a group of conmen that have swindled a billion francs belonging to an investor.
The investor is said to have been negotiating with local contacts to set up shop in Rwanda but in the process, he was swindled a total of Rwf1billion prompting him to report the incidence to RIB.
RIB immediately launched into action and managed to apprehend one of the thugs who later led the detectives to a hideout.
Money equivalent to Rwf 400million was found in a private vault at the residence of a Roman Catholic Priest in Rwamagana district just 30-minutes drive out of the Capital Kigali.
Investigations are ongoing to piece together this gross theft of the year.
