Tottenham Joins 10 Most Valuable Squads In The World

Tottenham Hotspur has made it to the top 10 when it comes to most valuable squads in the world.

The Lilywhites sit 10th in the latest figures released by Transfermarkt, which is below the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, but above north London rivals Arsenal so bragging rights remain intact.

In addition, Spurs trail the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and European champions Bayern Munich.

A few months ago, the overall value of the squad was £777.15m and they were the Premier League’s third most valuable club after smashing their transfer record to sign Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon in the summer of 2019.

However, the latest figures have indicated that the value of Spurs’ squad value has decreased by £116.95m since March 2020.

Despite this summer seeing the arrivals of Sergio Reguilon, Gareth Bale (on loan), Carlos Vinícius (on loan), Matt Doherty, Joe Hart, and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, the overall market value of Tottenham’s squad is down to £660.20m.

Unsurprisingly, Harry Kane is the most valuable player across the entire Spurs squad. The England international, who has started the season in superb form, has a market value of £108.00m which makes him the only player to be in the three-digit bracket.

Son Heung-min, Dele Alli, Davinson Sanchez and Ndombele complete the top five, while Bale’s value has plummeted after a frustrating 2019/20 season with Real Madrid.

Liverpool, the reigning champions of England, have been calculated as having the most valuable squad in the world following last month’s arrivals of Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota which has helped bump their squad value to £991.08m. With that said, the Premier League’s spending power is demonstrated with as many as six clubs inside the top 15.
