SC Kiyovu Climbs Azam Rwanda Premier League Table

SC Kiyovu are now on top of the Azam Rwanda Premier League table after beating Sunrise FC 1-0 while APR FC drew goalless with Police FC.

SC Kiyovu lead the league with 15 points after securing 3 point from Sunrise FC who had hosted them in Nyagatare in the seventh match day of the League.

SC Kiyovu coached by Andre Cassa Mbungo scored the lone goal by Djuma Nizeyimana in the 18th minute of the game.

SC Kiyovu climbed to the first position as APR FC, who had led the table with 13 points could not get three points of the game as their match against Police FC ended in a goalless draw.

Now APR FC are second-placed with 14 points behind SC Kiyovu.

APR FC played without their right back Ombolenga Fitina who was on suspension whereas SC Kiyovu played without their skipper Fabrice Mugheni who has scored more goals for Kiyovu than any other player with three goals in the league.

In other games of the seventh match day of the league, AS Kigali stunned Marines FC with a 4-1 win at Umuganda Stadium while hosts Mukura Victory Sports drew with Miroplast 2-2 in Huye.

Mukura VS are now placed in the fifth place with 10 points.

The win of the Kigali City sponsored football club against Marines saw them climb to the third place on the league table.

Now, AS Kigali coached by Eric Nshimiyimana are third-placed with 13 points followed by Police FC who are fourth with 11 points with one more game to play.

Gicumbi FC hosted and triumphed over Kirehe FC with one goal to zero climbing to the seventh position with nine points, while Kirehe FC are on the bottom of the league with six points, the same with Miroplast FC with one more goal. Recently promoted Miroplast FC are 15th.

Rayon Sports had to play against Amagaju FC but the game was postponed by the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) until further notice.

Defending champions, Rayon Sports are tenth with eight points with two more games to play while Amagaju are 14th with six points, with one less game played.

Yesterday, Bugesera FC drew with Espoir FC 0-0 in Rusizi Stadium while tomorrow, on Thursday, sixth placed Ettincelles FC host Musanze who are in the 11th place with seven points (two less than Ettincelles) at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu.
