Rwanda’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Valentine Rugwabiza is taking part at the ongoing event organized by Hadassah- a Jewish women organization.
The Rwandan envoy delivered her presentation covering the history of women’s empowerment in Rwanda, Rwanda-Israel relations, among other topics. This is a gesture of deepening cooperation between Rwanda and the Israel state.
Hadassah was founded 100 years ago committed to women’s health and well-being, to Israel, and to Jewish values and community. They focus on connecting and empowering Jewish women to effect change.
In 2005, Hadassah won a Nobel Peace Prize for bringing advanced medical care to all, regardless of race, ethnicity or nationality. This Group also contributes its medical and social expertise as a member of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), as a non for profit NGO.
