Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Hon. Juvenal Marizamunda, is on a four-day official visit to Brazil at the invitation of his Brazilian counterpart, Hon. José Múcio Monteiro Filho.
Accompanied by Ambassador Lawrence Manzi and Brig. Gen. Patrick Karuretwa, Minister Marizamunda attended the International Defence and Security Fair (LAAD 2025), the largest defence and security exhibition in Latin America.
The event, held in Rio de Janeiro, brings together government officials, military leaders, and industry experts to discuss global security trends and explore advancements in defence technology.
During the visit, the Rwandan delegation also engaged in high-level meetings with various officials on the sidelines of the fair, strengthening bilateral defence ties and exploring potential areas of collaboration between Rwanda and Brazil.
This visit is a manifestation of Rwanda’s commitment to enhancing international partnerships in defence and security, as the country continues to position itself as a key player in regional and global security affairs.
