A Rwandan lady has won a gold Medal at the ongoing Varna marathon in Bulgaria. This marathon is categorised with Marathon, Half Marathon and the 10000m.
The Rwanda Athletics Federation reported that a one Clementine Mukandanga has scooped a gold medal at the prestigious marathon. Other Rwandans including Jean Baptiste and Felicien were 3rd and 5th Positions respectively in Men Full Marathon; and Adeline who won Bronze Medal in Women half Marathon with in 4th position.
The Marathon is organized by the Bulgarian Ministry of Youth and Sport, Varna Municipality.
Varna is the third largest city in Bulgaria and the largest at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, with an area of 205 sq. km. Its location on the Northern shore of the Black Sea, along with its richness in natural resources make it one of the famous resorts Europe wide, definitely the largest one in the Black Sea region. It also happens to be on the crossroads between Western Europe and the Middle East.
