Kigali will host the Malcolm X Centennial Summit on May 17, 2025, marking 100 years since the birth of civil rights leader El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, also known as Malcolm X.
The event, set to take place at Nature Kigali, will be a gathering focused on reflection, discussion, and cultural expression.
Organizers describe it as a space for vision, voice, and action, aiming to honor Malcolm X’s legacy while exploring the ongoing struggle for Black and African liberation.
The summit will include a film screening, guest speakers, and live performances. An Economic Empowerment Marketplace will also be featured, offering vendors a platform to showcase their businesses.
Organizers encourage early sign-ups due to limited space.
The event is free and open to the public with RSVP. The Rwandaful Rwanda Community has been announced as the official media partner.
