Rwanda Launches Health Intelligence Center to Improve Disease Surveillance

Rwanda has launched the Rwanda Health Intelligence Center, a new facility designed to enhance real-time health data collection and analysis.

The launch took place on the sidelines of GAISAfrica2025 in Kigali in the presence of African health ministers and international partners.

The center will collect data from communities and health facilities to track disease trends, support timely decision-making, and improve resource allocation.

Officials say it will help strengthen disease surveillance and enable evidence-based policy adjustments.

This center will allow Rwanda to respond to health challenges more effectively by using real-time data.

The initiative is part of Rwanda’s efforts to use technology and data-driven approaches to improve public health services.
