RPF Secretary General Bids Farewell to Outgoing Chinese Ambassador

The Secretary General of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), Hon. Wellars Gasamagera, on Monday March 17, received Ambassador Wang Xuekun, the outgoing Chinese envoy to Rwanda, at the RPF headquarters in Rusororo for a farewell courtesy call.

During the meeting, Gasamagera expressed gratitude for Ambassador Wang’s dedication and commitment in strengthening bilateral ties between Rwanda and China. He commended the ambassador’s efforts in fostering collaboration between the RPF-Inkotanyi and the Communist Party of China (CPC), noting that their professional exchanges had evolved into a “sound and effective partnership.”

“The partnership between our two parties has grown significantly, and we appreciate the mutual cooperation that has developed over the years,” Gasamagera said, reaffirming RPF-Inkotanyi’s commitment to maintaining and furthering the strong ties established during Wang’s tenure.

He also congratulated Ambassador Wang on the successful completion of his mission in Rwanda and extended his best wishes for his future endeavors.

China and Rwanda have maintained close diplomatic and economic relations, with China playing a key role in infrastructure development, trade, and investment in Rwanda. Ambassador Wang Xuekun’s departure marks the end of a tenure that saw continued collaboration between the two nations, particularly in areas of governance, economic cooperation, and party-to-party relations.
