The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) Secretary General, Col (Rtd) Jeannot Ruhunga, held a bilateral meeting with INTERPOL Secretary General, Jürgen Stock, where both discussed ways of cultivating stronger and lasting cooperation.
The two officials met on the sidelines of the ongoing 90th INTERPOL General Assembly in New Delhi, India, and discussed strengthening the existing cooperation with Rwanda.
They also discussed operational activities and how to streamline planned activities of common interest.
In Rwanda, RIB runs INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau.
During the meeting, as a head of the Rwandan delegation, Ruhunga was joined by Rwanda National Police (RNP) Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza and the Head of INTERPOL and International Cooperation within RIB, Antoine Ngarambe.
Meanwhile, the RIB SG is holding a series of bilateral meetings with other high ranking officials from law enforcement agencies from around the world.
The INTERPOL General Assembly gather 166 countries with more than 700 participants giving room to strengthen the organization activities and avail opportunities for networking among law enforcement agencies accross the world.
The General Assembly opening ceremony was officiated by Indian Prime Minister, H.E Narendra Modi.
