The United Nations organisation wants to be reformed to become more efficient and also save money.
According to emerging details, the UN will look at how it uses its resources, revisit mandates from member states and consider structural changes to the UN system.
Confirming the upcoming ambitious reforms, Stephane Dujarric UN secretary-general’s spokesman said, “We’ve asked senior officials and others to submit suggestions and how we can improve this organization.”

The move is driven by financial woes, as the UN is owed $2.7 billion by its largest donor, the US.
