President of the Chamber of Deputies Participates in 23rd General Assembly of the National Women’s Council

Honorable Gertrude Kazarwa, President of the Chamber of Deputies, attended the 23rd General Assembly of the National Women’s Council today, joined by several members of the Rwanda Parliament.

This year’s assembly, themed “Women’s Development, National Development,” highlights the vital role of women’s empowerment in the nation’s progress.

In her address, President Kazarwa called for collective responsibility and leadership in tackling societal challenges. “As leaders and as parents, let us embrace our responsibilities and demonstrate uniqueness and excellence in addressing the issues we face, starting from our individual roles,” she emphasized.

She noted that while the capacity, willingness, and vision to effect change are available, it is crucial to maintain our focus on setting clear goals and collaborating to achieve them.

The assembly serves as a platform to strengthen the commitment to women’s development as a cornerstone of national growth, fostering partnerships among various stakeholders to drive meaningful change.

Through these efforts, Rwanda aims to harness the potential of women as essential contributors to the country’s future.
