President Paul Kagame has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Senator Jim Inhofe, who passed away recently.
In a statement, President Kagame highlighted Senator Inhofe’s enduring connection with Africa and his special bond with Rwanda. “From his first visit to Africa more than 25 years ago, and the dozens that followed, Jim was a singular friend of our continent, and of Rwanda in particular,” President Kagame said.
Senator Inhofe, known for his extensive work and numerous visits to Africa, played a pivotal role in strengthening the ties between the continent and the United States. President Kagame emphasized that the relationships and bonds fostered by Senator Inhofe will be a lasting part of his legacy as a dedicated statesman and public servant.
“The bonds that Jim fostered between Africa and the United States will remain central to his legacy as a statesman and public servant,” President Kagame added.
Senator Inhofe’s commitment to Africa, including his efforts to support various developmental initiatives, has left an indelible mark on the continent. His legacy of friendship and cooperation will be remembered and cherished by many across Africa and in Rwanda.
