President Paul Kagame addressed a crowd of over 300,000 supporters yesterday at the Bumbogo site in Gasabo District, underscoring Rwanda’s path towards unity and justice as foundational to national progress.
The rally, held at the heart of Gasabo where the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) Headquarters is located, symbolizes the district’s pivotal role in Rwanda’s political landscape.
“Unity is not just a slogan but a commitment to inclusivity and shared progress,” President Kagame affirmed. “It is this unity that has propelled our nation forward, ensuring that each Rwandan sees a brighter tomorrow.”
Acknowledging the RPF’s historical role, President Kagame highlighted its pursuit of justice for all Rwandans, including those who returned from exile and those marginalized within their own country. “The RPF has been steadfast in advocating justice, ensuring that every Rwandan, regardless of background, finds a rightful place in our society,” he stated.
President Kagame cautioned against the trivialization of political responsibility and the sacrifices made for Rwanda’s stability and growth. “Politics grounded in our values and aspirations demands respect for the journey we’ve undertaken,” he remarked. “It is a journey that cannot be undermined by those who fail to grasp its significance.”
