Police Shoots Suspect, Another Arrested

In a joint operation with with Rwanda Investigation Bureau, Rwanda National Police has shot dead one Irumva Elias while resisting his arrest.

Police said on Thursday evening that Irumva was shot during an operation to arrest two suspects of a violent robbery and assault of Tuyisenge Jeannette, an MTN agent in Remera, which took place on 23rd February 23, 2020.“We have arrested Irakoze Emmanuel. His accomplice Irumva Elias was shot dead while resisting the arrest,” Police announced on twitter.
