Rwanda National Police has returned to the Ministry of Internal Security following the recent appointment of a new minister Gen. Patrick Nyamvumba to this docket.
Two years ago, on October 4 2016, President Paul Kagame scrapped off the Ministry to which the National Police was administered, dropping its Minister Sheikh Musa Fazil Harerimana, President of the Ideal Democratic Party (PDI), now member of parliament.
The Police has since then been been a responsibility of the Justice Ministry.
