Reports from Pyongyang show that the North Korean President is alive and very fine as opposed to recent media rumours that claimed he was no more.
Kim Jong-un officially opened a new Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory on Friday- he cut tape for the completion of the modern facility.
Kim Jong-un was last seen in public on April 12th and this caused speculations that could not be independently confirmed.
The speculations about his health and possible demise went viral across social media and main stream media after he missed the birth anniversary celebrations of his grandfather, state founder Kim Il Sung on 15 April.
However, sources privy with the North Korean leader say he has been struggling with cardiovascular problems since last August “but it worsened after repeated visits to Mount Paektu”.
In 2014, the Korean lader also disappeared for more than a month (40days). He later resurfaced walking with support from a stick.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday Kim Jong-un received a reply from Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad according to the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
KCNA said the letter which Kim received expressed thanks for extending a message of congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of Syria’s independence day.
