A reliable source has told Taarifa that MTN Rwanda Plc has injected cash into the forth coming ATHF music festival as tittle sponsors of the two days event taking place on August 12-13, 2022 at the Canal Olympia, Rebero, Kigali.
MTN signed with the organizers for the naming rights of the “MTN/ATHF Festival” and a tittle sponsor of the event, which will attract more than 20 artistes who have been lined up to participate.
Simon Iyarwema, the MTN/ATHF Festival manager, says the festival is expected to put back revelers in the party mood and also give Rwandan artists an opportunity to get back on stage with their African peers.
This is the first edition of the MTN/ATHF Festival, and according to the organizers, it will focus on bringing back the spirit of festivals, where families and fun-loving friends can come and enjoy during the day, till late.
“It will be a two-days event so that people can have maximum fun on Friday and Saturday, depending on when they find time, or both days,” Iyarwema said.
The international music festival which would be graced by Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel, Ugandan dance hall/Afrobeat queen Sheebah Karungi, will also see local artistes perform, including Bruce Melodie, Niyo Bosco, Ish Kevin and Ariel Wayz, among others.
Major DJs who will spice up the festival include: DJ Toxxyk, DJ Marnaud, DJ Ira, DJ Douce, DJ Otega and others. MC Tino and Anitha Pendo will be there too.
Other brands that have sponsored the event including, Bralirwa, RwandAir, Ubumwe Hotel, RCB, Canal Olympia, Inyarwanda, Taarifa, KT Radio, among others.
RCB came in as a partner giving the most important aspect of the festival which is technical support with their best hand on board. They also facilitated securing RwandAir’s sponsorship.
