Miss Rwanda Organisation announced on Tuesday evening that Miss Rwanda 2021 auditions, which were slated to kick off on January 09, 2021, have been put on hold.
The organisation said that the decision was due to the new government restrictions on the prevention of COVID-19 pandemic, issued on January 4, 2021.
“The Miss Rwanda Organisation takes seriously matters regarding health of the contestants and encourages the general public to adhere to the preventive measures issued by the Government of Rwanda for the safety of all,” it said in a statement.
Registration for those who wish to participate in Miss Rwanda 2021 continues on www.missrwanda.rw.
New dates for auditions or any other developments will be communicated in the near future.
The management also said that it will continue consultations with concerned authorities on the way forward.
