Members of the Chamber of Deputies have started visiting citizens across the country to focus on activities that improve their welfare and evaluate development-oriented programs. This initiative will run from January 26 to February 3, 2025, in all provinces, followed by February 8-9, 2025, in Kigali City.
The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Hon. Kazawura Gertrude, stated that, “We are committed to engaging with citizens to ensure meaningful changes in their lives. This outreach will help us assess how government programs are being implemented and provide citizens with the opportunity to express their needs and priorities.”
During these visits, MPs will hold meetings with citizens and local leaders to discuss various issues, including social cohesion, reconciliation among Rwandans, support for vulnerable groups, participation in programs promoting access to finance, saving initiatives, and resolving family and community conflicts.
Additionally, the MPs will evaluate the challenges raised by citizens during previous outreach activities and monitor progress in addressing them.
