More than 50 small and medium sized enterprises, cooperatives, individual producers and TVET schools are set to sell their products at the Germany Christmas market.
Dr. Peter Woeste, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Rwanda will officially launch the event which starts this Saturday November 18 to 19 from 10:00am, at premises of the SOS Hermann-Gmeiner Primary School in Kacyiru.
Products on sale range from handicraft, artworks, children toys, books, Christmas decoration, fashion accessories and clothes, metal and wood works, local brandy and many more, with an objective of promoting Made in Rwanda.
“The sale is only part of the event. Christmas Markets are a social event, a place to meet, to enjoy German food and a drink. Many offers are difficult to resist, such as the glass of delicious mulled wine,” Peter Woeste said.
The event is jointly organized by the German Embassy, the SOS Children’s Village, Goethe Institut, Rheinland-Pfalz, Savings Banks Finance Group among others.
