Eugene Gasana Rwanda’s former permanent Ambassador to the United Nations in New York has been denounced by his own family in a missive signed by family representative Saturday.
In a two-page letter dated December 5 and written in kinyarwanda, Alice Gasana the eldest sibling of the Gasana’s has gone public to denounce her brother’s wrongs and has sought forgiveness on his behalf.
“Whatever is being said about my brother, his actions are his own responsibility. As a family we are strongly and deeply hurt to hear that our own blood relative being mentioned for involvement in cowardly acts. I take this opportunity in the name of our family to inform everyone that we have dissociated ourselves from him,” Alice Gasana said.
“Brother Eugene, I know long ago you used to listen to advise from your family. Since you have not yet asked for forgiveness for all the deeds you are accused of, on your behalf I’m seeking for your forgiveness,” she added.

“And in case of your failure to appear or answer, judgment will be taken against you by default for the relief demanded in the complaint.”
