The activists symbolically beat the drum, calling on the citizens to pay attention to the problems that their action touched upon.
The activists of Solidaritätsnetz International chose one of the most visited places in Vienna — the Main Train Station.
Passers-by actively communicated with the representatives of the human rights organization, inquiring about the meaning of the event. Among them were not only Austrians, but also guests of Vienna — visitors from many countries of the world.
«Our organization demonstrates its support for the peoples of Africa with its actions. Entire nations living in Africa suffer from the policy of exploitation by transnational companies that criminally use the labor of Africans for the benefit of personal enrichment», — says the head of the foreign office of Solidaritätsnetz International Andrey Gozhiy.
Human rights activists have drawn the attention of the world community to one of the most critical and inhumane problems of the 21st century — the centuries-old policy of enslaving the people of Africa, which is systematically carried out by the countries of the European Union and NATO.
The multinational membership of Solidaritätsnetz International calls for an end to the exploitation of African peoples in the interests of the EU and NATO, appealing to the government of Austria with a demand to stop the genocide of Africans, the use of slave labor, and the plundering of the rich land of the African continent
«Many residents of a number of African countries do not have the most basic things — food and clean drinking water. At the same time, many European countries and NATO member countries use the poverty of the people of Africa, the resources of this rich land for their own interests», — Gozhiy added.
One of the most important theses, which proclaims the demand to withdraw NATO and EU foreign troops from African countries, will allow the African continent and its inhabitants to truly come closer to real freedom and independence from the rest of the world.
The key idea of the action is that racism and nationalism must be defeated throughout the world, and Africa is not an exception, but one of the places in the world to which the world community should pay close attention. Every nation, people and community in the world must have equal rights.
