The Kingdom of Tooro reverently extols Princess Bagaaya’s life and legacy, adorned with virtues of astuteness, inquisitiveness, humility, integrity, diligence, diplomacy, philanthropy, industriousness, and an unwavering commitment to the service of her country and the broader community.

In 1974, President Idi Amin appointed Elizabeth the minister of foreign affairs. In 1986, President Yoweri Museveni appointed Elizabeth was appointed ambassador to the United States, a job she held until 1988.
