Bobi Wine Survives Assassination Attempt By Museveni’s Forces

A police officer threw a hand grenade at Bobi Wine on Tuesday afternoon in a large crowd at a rally in Jinja, central Uganda.
The grade blasted a few centimetres behind Bobi Wine on a vehicle’s bonnet before everyone ran on grand.

The President candidate, who is President Museveni’s toughest contender, was addressing his supporters in a deeply known district that is anti Museveni.
“The military and police yet again attacked us in Kayunga,” Bobi Wine said on his twitter account.
“They’ve shot and severely injured several team members including my producer Dan Magic and a police officer attached to me, ASP Kato. Many in a critical condition,” he announced.
By the time of tweeting, he, said, nearby clinics being teargassed. “Pray for us. Pray for Uganda.”
Bobi Wine has been mobilising massive crowds at his rallies and most of the time attracting Police’s brutal encroachment on his campaign.

Government has issued no statement.
