The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, is in Berlin, Germany to participate in the Conference on Libya, at the invitation of Angela Merkel, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, to be held this Sunday January 19, 2020.
President Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Republic of Congo Brazzzaville, and Chairperson of the AU High-Level Committe on Libya, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and current Chairperson of the African Union, other state parties and international organisations, are also invited to the Conference.
The Chairperson of the Commission looks forward to reiterating the common African position for a Libyan-led political process and inclusive dialogue to end the crisis in the country.
