Rwanda has lost another Roman catholic priest Herménégilde Twagirumukiza after losing a battle to Covid-19 pandemic.
The deceased was attached to Butare Diocese and was once in charge of Nyanza college (Kristu Umwami).
Currently, Rwanda has reported total cases 9,950 and 6,974 recoveries. The country has lost 125 people.
Just five days ago, Rwandans woke up to sad news of the death of Father Ubald Rugirangoga- He passed away on the evening of January 7 of complications from Covid-19.
Rugirangoga at 65, was a Catholic priest well-known throughout Africa and often preached to congregations of more than 30,000 in Rwanda.
According to Celestin Hakizimana, Bishop of Gikongoro Diocese and Apostolic Administrator of Cyangugu Diocese where Rugirangoga was serving, the deceased succumbed to respiratory complications. He died from Utah, United States where he was being treated.
