A hungry mother who has been abandoned by her husband and ignored by her own children is finally hopeful that she will walk away from the suffering she had endured for the past one year.
Last week, Taarifa broke a story of a 77-year old Mukandoli Ange who suffers from a strange disease to which doctors have failed to diagnose.
Her situation forced her husband to flee and her own three children to ignore her. She was left with her lastborn, a 30-year old Celestine Kabayiza.
Several of our subscribers were astonished by the complex situation Mukandoli has been going through. Some sent in quick aid informing of rice, soap, health insurance (mutuelle de sante), glycerine, sugar, beans and maize flour. Mukandoli smiled to the camera upon receiving the support.
On Monday the leadership team from the Sector and Cell visited Mukandoli at her home in Bidudu village, Ndatemwa cell, Kiziguro sector. They promised they would return with substantial support.
As promised, on Tuesday morning, Mukandoli was presented with a brand new mattress, cooking oil, maize flour and other items which will atleast improve her feeding and nutritional needs while enjoying the comfort of a mattress fitting a dignified citizen.
