Rwandan peacekeepers deployed under the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) conducted a medical outreach programme at Boali District Headquarters on 22 April 2026, providing critical healthcare services to hundreds of residents in the Boali Sub-Prefecture.

The outreach, carried out by the Second Rwandan Battalion (RWABAT-2), saw more than 174 patients consulted, diagnosed, and treated for a range of medical conditions, with each patient provided with appropriate medication.

The initiative drew praise from local authorities. Boali Mayor Mr. Youskou Camille expressed sincere appreciation for the programme, commending RWABAT-2 for its continued support and the strong spirit of cooperation it has fostered with the local community.

The medical outreach forms part of MINUSCA’s broader mandate to protect civilians and support the restoration of state authority and basic services across the Central African Republic, a country that has endured years of armed conflict and instability.

Rwanda has been among the most consistent contributors of troops to peacekeeping missions across Africa, with its forces widely recognised for their professionalism and community engagement in the field.
