President Paul Kagame has reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to unity and inclusive governance during a high-level gathering with members of the Muslim community, emphasizing that national progress depends on the participation of all citizens.

Addressing attendees, President Kagame dismissed claims of religious persecution, stressing that Rwanda’s approach is rooted in accountability and proper organization rather than discrimination.

He underscored that all institutions must operate within a legal framework that supports national stability and shared prosperity.

“Our journey is one of transformation,” Kagame said. “It is about changing lives, governance, and mindset so that Rwanda can move forward. Every Rwandan has a role to play—no one is oppressed, and no one is left behind.”

The event was attended by senior officials, including Jean Nepo Abdallah Utumatwishima, Joseph Nsengimana, Yusuf Murangwa, and Dominique Habimana, highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening ties with diverse communities.

Business leader Zulfat Mukarubega also shared her journey of building the University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies (UTB) from just five students to more than 12,000 graduates, crediting government support for empowering women and fostering entrepreneurship.

The gathering served as a platform to promote dialogue, reinforce social cohesion, and explore ways to enhance youth engagement and inclusive development.

It also reaffirmed Rwanda’s broader vision of a united nation where diversity is embraced as a strength and every citizen contributes to the country’s transformation.
