RDB CEO Meets Angolan Ambassador to Deepen Economic Cooperation

The Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), Jean-Guy Afrika, today met with H.E. Ambassador Alfred Dombe, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola to Rwanda, together with his delegation, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.

The engagement focused on building upon the strong existing partnership between Rwanda and Angola while identifying new opportunities to expand collaboration in trade, investment, and private-sector development.

Speaking after the meeting, RDB CEO Jean-Guy Afrika emphasized Rwanda’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

“Rwanda values its growing relationship with Angola. We see strong potential for collaboration in trade, investment, and knowledge exchange that can unlock new opportunities for businesses in both countries,” he said.

H.E. Ambassador Alfred Dombe welcomed the discussions, noting Angola’s interest in deepening economic ties with Rwanda.

“Angola is keen to strengthen cooperation with Rwanda, particularly in areas that promote investment, industrial development, and private-sector growth. Rwanda’s business-friendly environment offers valuable opportunities for Angolan investors,” Ambassador Dombe said.

During the meeting, Rwanda highlighted its role as a regional business and innovation hub, offering opportunities in sectors such as tourism, logistics, services, and technology.

Angola, on the other hand, presented opportunities for Rwandan investors through its rich natural resources, expanding industrial base, and access to Southern African markets.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing South South cooperation and advancing economic partnerships that support sustainable growth, job creation, and shared prosperity for both nations.
