Rwandan lawmakers have staged impressive performances at the ongoing East African Community (EAC) Inter-Parliamentary Games taking place in Kampala, Uganda.
MP Germaine Mukabalisa clinched the gold medal in the 400-meter race and went on to secure a bronze medal in the 100-meter sprint.
In the same competition, MP Damien Nyabyenda won a silver medal in the 400-meter race, adding to Rwanda’s medal tally at the regional tournament.
The EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games bring together legislators from member states to strengthen cooperation and promote fitness through friendly sporting contests.
Rwanda’s delegation has praised the athletes for their performance and for proudly representing the country on the regional stage.
