Rwanda, Algeria Deepen Bilateral Cooperation at Colonial Crimes Conference

On the sidelines of the International Conference on the Crimes of Colonialism in Africa, Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Jean Patrick Nduhungirehe, held a bilateral meeting with Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf.

The meeting provided an opportunity for both ministers to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening relations between Rwanda and Algeria.

Their discussions centered on expanding areas of cooperation and exploring new avenues for partnership between the two nations.

Rwanda and Algeria have maintained growing diplomatic ties in recent years, marked by collaboration in sectors such as security, education, and multilateral engagement.

The International Conference on the Crimes of Colonialism in Africa—which examines the impact of colonial-era atrocities and promotes justice and historical accountability—served as a fitting backdrop for the two countries to renew their commitment to working closely within continental and international frameworks.
