Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, held a telephone conversation with Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan to discuss developments in Gaza and broader regional cooperation.
According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two officials reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Doha and Ankara and explored avenues for deeper cooperation.
The call also focused heavily on the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The discussion included arrangements for potential negotiations following a proposal by U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at ending the war on Gaza. Both ministers reaffirmed their countries’ shared interest in supporting diplomatic efforts to restore peace and stability in the region.
Sheikh Mohammed reiterated Qatar’s firm commitment to supporting all regional and international initiatives that seek to end the war in Gaza, emphasizing the importance of achieving lasting security and stability for the Palestinian people and the broader Middle East.
The conversation underscores the continued coordination between Qatar and Türkiye on regional peace efforts and humanitarian diplomacy amid heightened tensions in Gaza.
