Banque Populaire du Rwanda (BPR) has launched an urgent call for applications to its “5 Forward” program, a women-led business development initiative with limited slots remaining.

Developed in partnership with KCB Foundation, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and KfW Development Bank, the program offers training, mentorship, and tailored loans to eligible female-owned SMEs in Kigali.

The initiative targets businesses that are at least 51% women-owned, registered in Rwanda, operational for over two years, tax-compliant, and generating RWF 20 million+ in turnover with up to 30 employees.

Applications can be submitted online at [www.bpr.rw](https://www.bpr.rw) or at a BPR branch, with no fees required.

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted, and accommodations for disabilities are available.

“This program empowers women to scale sustainably,” a BPR spokesperson said. For inquiries, email info@bpr.rw.

The partnership underscores a commitment to gender equity, aligning with Rwanda’s economic transformation goals. Apply before slots fill up.
