The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has held talks with a delegation from the Central African Republic (CAR) to review progress in aviation cooperation and explore new opportunities for stronger economic ties between the two countries.

The meeting, held between RDB Chief Executive Officer Jean-Guy Afrika and a CAR delegation led by Minister of Commerce and Industry Balalou Maxime, focused on the progress of Core Aviation Services SARL-RCA (CAS), a company established under the Rwanda–Central African Republic Economic Cooperation framework.

CAS is expected to provide ground handling services at Bangui M’Poko International Airport, supporting the development of aviation infrastructure and improving operational capacity at one of CAR’s key transport hubs.

Discussions also covered opportunities to deepen private sector partnerships, increase investment cooperation and identify new areas where businesses from both countries can collaborate.

The partnership reflects growing economic engagement between Rwanda and the Central African Republic, with both countries seeking to strengthen trade, investment and knowledge exchange.

Rwanda has in recent years expanded its economic partnerships across Africa, with aviation, tourism, technology and investment promotion among sectors where the country has sought to share expertise and build commercial links with other markets.

The engagement with the CAR delegation comes as both countries continue efforts to promote regional integration and create opportunities for private sector-led growth.
